New Project Announced: MOTW: The Web Series

Hey there, I'm proud to announce a new joint project starting up soon: Mark of the Wolf: The Web Series.
This will be a series of short films that will serve as an extension of the full length feature film, "Mark of the Wolf", which begins production next year.
What's really cool about this series, is that not only me and my friends will be doing several episodes of this series, but also several other friends and acquaintances that I know from all over the country and even overseas in England, will also film an episode as well.
All of the episodes will relate in one form or another to the continuity of the full length film, either touching on a character or scenario that will develop later. The one that I will do, will serve as a direct link to the movie, possibly including one that will serve as a prelude.
I will have a hand in the episodes. I've already came up with several ideas that will be used in scripts and will consult on the others. Making sure that the web series will go in tandem with the movie.
Several people -- William Phelps, Armin Stoyanovic, Chas Blankenship, Andrew Mitchell, Thomas Gallagher, Thomas Blevins, and Thomas Parker -- will be either writing and/or filming episodes. Chase Langley, my friend who helped out in the M1F joint project "Vanishing Act" has also expressed an interest. And my friend Bobby Tanasie, who created the logos not only for M1F and MOTW, also came up with the very cool logo for the web series that you see at the top of this blog.
Right now, the tenative plan is to begin releasing the episodes once a month either in late November or December, depending on how they are progressing. It'll either be one short film or two a month, depending on the length, which will range from 5 to 15 minutes. The films will directly lead into the full film, which should be done late next year.
And I plan on including the web series along with the film when it's released on DVD.
I'll keep you posted on the latest with this new and exciting project. Stay tuned.

Major News: Vanishing Act WORLD PREMIERE!!!

Here it is. The second official project from M1F (and the first team up with my friend Chase's Plus One Pictures) Vanishing Act is online NOW!!!!

Check it out:

And as an added bonus, to the right is the poster for the movie.

I definitely want to thank my friend Chase for helping out with this and putting this all together. This was a joint effort in every way as he made some suggestions on the script I've written and I helped with how the movie should look and what would work best. In the end, it turned out
great and I have no doubt this will be the first of many many projects we'll do together.

This also marks the first completed film under the M1F banner. The MOTW teaser was just a teaser for the full length movie, which begins production next year.

Feels good to know in about a month's span, two projects are now up and running. And there will be plenty more yet to come. Probably very very soon.

Thanks again Chase for all your efforts. I can't wait for the next project to begin. Stay tuned.

M1F is Off and Running: MOTW Teaser Online Now!!

Hey there, been a while since the last M1F update. But I am back with big news.
As of Sept. 7, Mark One Films is officially active. It happened with the online world premiere of the teaser trailer for my full length film "Mark of the Wolf".
It felt good to actually download the two minute plus trailer online and then launch it on YouTube for the world to see. I have to admit I was beyond nervous once I got word that YouTube accepted the file, because you become concerned what everyone will think of it. If ithey think t's good or a piece of crap.
But so far, the response has been good. So it feels good to know that. And also that the trailer is helping to spread the word about the movie, which begins production next year.
To see the trailer, please click here. And click here for more about the film.
In other movie news, sometime within the next month or so, I'm going to begin work on a new short film. Something real quick and close to my heart. I'll fill you in on the details soon.
That's it for now. I'll have another update soon.
But just know that from here on out, Mark One Films is here to stay.

First Photo from Vanishing Act

Hey there. A little treat for you. This is a photo from the upcoming project, "Vanishing Act".

Pictured to the left is my friend Chase, who stars in the movie. After seeing the raw footage from the film, I think he did a great job.

The big question as you see him looking at his hand in this photo is well, why is he looking at his hand?

Well, since the story is our take on the Invisible Man tale, I leave it to you guys to figure that one out.

Stay tuned for more about the movie and watch for its world premiere soon.

New Project Announced: Vanishing Act

Proud to announce a new project is currently underway for M1F: The name of the movie is "Vanishing Act"

This short film will be a joint effort between me and my online friend Chase and will be a new take on the classic Invisible Man tale. I wrote the script, basing it off an old idea that's been collecting dust for ages. And Chase, who's been looking to do some short films and quick film projects over the summer, will act and help put the entire film together.

Things are just getting started with this short film, but I can say that things are on the fast track with this project. So there's a chance that this will be done very very soon. I'll keep you posted.

With this announcement, that makes at least three definite projects that are in the works. My major film, "Mark of the Wolf" is still in pre-production (working on the script right now). Another project, "The Warning" is also in the pre-production stage. I've completed the latest version of the script and have begun storyboard work.

And, I'm also considering adding a fourth, but I'll fill you in on that soon.
